Sheryl Crow was born Sherryl Suzanne Crow. In Sheryl Crow was born in Kennett, Missouri, across the Mississippi River from Memphis. Her parents, Bernice and Wendell Crow, played piano and tShe taught music classes to elementary school kids with special needs in St. Louis for a few years, before moving to Los Angeles in 1986 and trying to make it big in the recording industry. Her parents played trumpet with a jazz band, and they taught her to understand music. She could play songs by ear at six.
